We all love a good wedding! and why not get glammed up for the event? It’s not often you get to throw on that special dress and get your hair, make up and nails done! Photography at weddings can drown out make up so it it important to do an intense look for an evening event if you really want it to stand out 🙂 I did a wedding recently at which the bride wanted a sort of smoky eye look similar to Miss Mila Kunis – she always has fab eye make up! We opted for a more toned down version of Mila’s make up which suited this bride and her gorgeous champagne coloured dress very well.
Here is the review from my lovely August bride!
Linda recently done all the make up for my wedding and i would recommend her highly. She kept in touch with me from the time i booked untill the day of the wedding going through ideas and plans. Was on time and got straight to work with ne and the girls who were all extremely happy with there makeup. It was great knowing this was one thing i didnt have to worry about on the day and cime the end of the night our makeup was still as beautiful as when we first put it on. Thank you for a great job linda and every success in the future 🙂
Samantha’s (the bride) bridesmaids wore cadbury purple dresses so we went for a lighter subtle golden smoky eye and a neutral lip colour. I was informed that this lasted all day and night as they partied the night away!
Last but not least was the mother of the bride 🙂 She was a little nervous about getting her make up done as she had it done before and it was too over the top for her so as i usually do i simply gave her a polished natural make up look which she was very happy with in the end.
I would advise anyone getting their make up done for their wedding to do a trial and make sure that the look you want whether it be a make up similar to a celebrity or something you saw in a magazine just try it out to see if it will look as you imagine it on the day before committing; since the look you have in mind may not look the exact same as you imagined or you may have a change of heart. 🙂
I would also advise any bridal party to try out the spray tan/instant tan they plan to use so that the Make up artist can match your foundation to the tan during the time of make up trial. Dont go too dark and if you are wearing tan make sure the whole bridal party are wearing a similar intensity of tan so nobody looks out of place in the pictures.Luckily for me this bridal party were thinking ahead and took all these things into account during the trial etc.
Enhance your beauty on your wedding day don’t cover it up!
