Hot Weather – Dry Skin!

Has the heatwave got your skin parched?! Mine too! so a friend recommended I try out some VERY affordable body moisturiser known as ”Aveeno!”

Obviously to keep skin hydrated it is important to drinks lots and lots of water and of course diet comes into play here also! Did you know that watermelon is a wonderful source of hydration?

Fatty fish such as salmon, herring, tuna, and trout contain high amounts of omega-3 fatty acids, which help retain moisture and strengthen your skin’s barrier, If you’re not a fish fan you could also incorporate Flax seed into your diet.

Nuts are rich in Vitamin E which also protects the skin from oxidative cell damage such as sunburn. Avocado is known to have anti ageing properties and even reduce inflammation! ( one to try out for my Arthritis)

Olive oil contains vitamin E, monounsaturated fats, and omega-3 fatty acids and its so delicious and easy to eat!
Whilst I try to add some of these into my ever changing diet I swear by Aveeno to moisturise the outer layers of the skin! The result is soft supple skin all over!! At only €10 its well worth investing in! I highly recommend using it a night or two before getting your spray tan done in order to get a flawless finish!
